Rice University is thrilled to offer doctoral application fee waivers for the Fall 2024 admission term to ALL eligible domestic and international students. This waiver will be available from Oct. 18 - Nov. 1, 2023. Eligibility requirements are below; if you have reviewed the requirements and determined that you are eligible, please complete the form below to receive your waiver. Please note that there is no code that you need to enter on your application; your waiver will be tied to the email address you use for your application. If you already have an application in progress with Rice, please use specify that email address on the form below.

Please note that you may not see your waiver applied until 48 hours after submitting your application. Please also note that changes to the application cannot be made after the application is formally submitted; check all details carefully.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
• A completed application must be submitted by Nov. 27 at 10:59 p.m. CST; if an application is not submitted by this deadline, payment will be required.
  • Test scores (such as GRE, TOEFL, Duolingo, IELTS, etc.) may be submitted after the Nov. 27 deadline, as long as they are submitted by the application deadline.
• Students must meet the admissions requirements set by the university, as well as any additional criteria set by your program of application.
